Michael McFaul

MICHAEL McFAUL is Professor of Political Science, Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, and Director of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University. During the Obama administration, he served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Russian and Eurasian Affairs at the National Security Council and as U.S. Ambassador to Russia. He is the author of From Cold War to Hot Peace: An American Ambassador in Putin’s Russia.
