Alan S. Blinder

ALAN S. BLINDER is Gordon S. Rentschler Memorial Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University, where he has taught since 1971. Named a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1991, he was a member of U.S. President Bill Clinton’s Council of Economic Advisers and from 1993 to 1996 served as Vice Chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve Board of Governors. He is the author of A Monetary and Fiscal History of the United States, 1961–2021, among other books.
